    Course Description

    Given the complex and ever-changing nature of our world, leaders need to have agile mindsets and be prepared to think in new ways. This session focuses on developing a strategic mindset by continuously collecting and assimilating information and finding relevance in how it affects an organization's current and future performance potential. We reinforce that this is an interdependent process that requires both analysis and creativity, using tools and strategies including SWOT analysis, reframing, visioning, and systems thinking.

    Learning Outcomes

    After completing this session, participants will be able to:
    • Describe the boundaries, challenges, and changing nature of strategic leadership.
    • Use frameworks and tools that foster big picture thinking to analyze, evaluate, and solve problems.
    • Identify factors in the internal, external, and global business environment, and analyze how they impact leadership in organizations.

    Credential

    At the successful conclusion of this microcredential program, participants will receive a digital badge/certificate from Syracuse University, College of Professional Studies, which can be shared on LinkedIn or any digital media, and which will provide complete detail on information learned and competencies gained throughout the program.
