    Upon completing our program, you'll be prepared to take the CEHRS exam through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) and embark on a career as an Electronic Health Records Specialist, EMR/EHR Assistant, Health Information/Medical Records Administrator, Medical Office Computer Specialist, Medical Records Clerk, or Patient Services Representative.

    • Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) and related Practice Management applications.
    • Maintain confidentiality through adherence to HIPAA and HITECH Privacy and Security standards.

    • Understand the use of Diagnosis and Procedure codes in medical records. Interpret financial, statistical, and census reports, as well as invoices, claims, and other forms.

    • PS 1011 – Professionalism in Allied Health: Length - 32 Hours, Duration – 2 Weeks
    • HI 1014 – Introduction to Human Anatomy and Medical Terminology: Length - 96 Hours, Duration – 6 Weeks
    • HI 1018 – Electronic Health Records: Length - 64 Hours, Duration – 4 Weeks
    Industry Certification Exam
    This coursework helps prepares students to sit for the CEHRS exam through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Please review the certifying bodies website for further information regarding eligibility requirements and prerequisites. Taking this course will help prepare students for the exam, but does not guarantee that they will be eligible or pass the exam.
